Bearbound Site Review
The offering of bear sites on the Web has gotten better over the years; Bearbound is proof of that. We used to have such a hard time finding real big-bellied bears, but today, bears abound, and some bear sites are even venturing down a kinky road. Bearbound explores the bondage fetish and features hairy muscle bears, daddies, big-bellied bears, bear cubs, and everything in between. But I need to be clear about Bearbound: it’s not a bear sex site, it’s a BDSM / bondage fetish site. So that means that you’ll see lots of hot hairy men and bears, but you’re not always going to see them naked. This site isn’t about men cumming, it’s about men being bound, gagged, and forced into submission.
Bearbound showcases the rope work of site originator Dart, and other bondage masters like Master Gagger and Master Rob. The willing victims are the canvas on which these master rope men show off their craft. Most of the time they use rope, but sometimes they use duct tape; sometimes the men are clothed and sometimes they’re naked or nearly so. It’s not for everyone, but male bondage enthusiasts are going to love it.
Impressions of Bearbound
I do really like the variety of men on Bearbound. These are real bears and it is kind of hot seeing big, burly men roped up and helpless. The videos themselves are a little more interesting for me because they present not only bondage, but a lot of abduction scenarios. There’s a big, bald cop who is captured, tied up, and thrown in the trunk of a car. The site owner himself is jumped in his own house, subdued, and when he comes to, he finds himself tied spread eagle on his bed. A cowboy finds himself gagged and bound to a wooden bench, another bear is lashed to some gym equipment, and another is bound and harrassed in a mechanical room. There’s a lot of variety and the scenarios are never boring.

Hot Bear’s Final Word
Bearbound is currently running a membership sale, so if you buy a 3-month membership, they’ll give you six months; buy a 6-month membership and get a whole year. This is an awesome deal for men who are really into the bondage scene. And while there are quite a few gay BDSM sites out there, this is one of two that I know of dealing exclusively with bears. A great deal of Bearbound’s content is available on its brother site, Academy Men, which in my opinion will provide you with much more variety and stimulation.

There are over 1,000 photo galleries with over 20,000 photos. The pictures are 640 pixels on the long side. The photos could be less optimized for the Web; they’re a little on the grainy side.

There are a couple of hundred videos, but they’re only available in QuickTime format and they’re small, 320 pixels on the long side.

Bearbound has loads of content, so it’s definitely worth the membership fee. I’m somewhat forgiving with the size of the photos and videos because there aren’t heaps of sites servicing this niche. However, enlarging the photos and videos would make this a superb site.
Updates: 8/10
The site updates once a week, but they seem to be adding three photo galleries a week. I’m not sure how often the videos are updated because the videos aren’t dated.
Nav & Design: 9/10
The site is quite easy to navigate. Photos and videos are separated into their own sections. The photos are nicely presented.
Features & Extras: 7/10
There are a few erotic stories featuring bondage scenarios. There are also comics created especially for Bearbound by Mancer Bear. Bearbound also offers some ropework tutorials so you can start learning how to tie up your own bears.
Value: 8/10
There’s a lot of content for your membership dollar, and they have a fantastic deal where they double whatever membership level you purchase.
